Ted Davis: Studio323 Gallery in Palmeira Square

Occupying a space that was once the first floor drawing room of a large Victorian House, Studio323 is a photographic studio that transforms into a white gallery space during the festival. We welcome you to our third year running, with a varied collection of well known artists and designers from around Brighton and beyond. This year features an exceptionally high standard of workmanship. Fiona is known for her joyful lino cut textiles and Helen's beach huts sell out every year! Melissa's handbags bring together style and vivid color with subtlety, while Liz and Catherine's custom designer jewellery attracts a discerning eye. Ted's photos gracefully reveal texture in floral organics, while Teffany's and Richard's paintings delight and inspire with utmost detail.

  Catherine Beckett

  Jewellery: Silver

  Catherine Beckett designs and makes jewellery in her studio at Kew Steam Museum, Middlesex. Her work is modern and bold using silver, gold and enamel to create interesting and distinctive pieces. In her work she tries to bring a contemporary feel to the ancient art of enamelling, experimenting with techniques and textures. Most of all she likes her jewellery to be fun and enjoyed by the wearer.

  Richard P Cook Painting: Oil, Painting: Water-colour

  Richard P Cook is a member of the Royal Society of British Artists. He trained at Grimsby College of Art, Maidstone College of art and Royal Academy Schools in London. "I paint views of places and people I like in oils and watercolours. Enjoyment of the medium and subject is paramount. In portraits the psychology of the sitter fascinates me and landscapes attract me for atmosphere and abstract shapes."

  Jewellery

  Liz Hancock designs and makes contemporary jewellery from her studio at the Farnham Maltings in Surrey. Her work is based on sculptural and organic forms using silver, gold and gemstones. Various texturing techniques are used to achieve the desired effect.

  Helen Holland

  Models

  Helen Holland has been building 1:12th scale architectural models for over 25 years and is well known for her miniature Edwardian country estate commissioned by Leonardslee Gardens in Horsham. Don't miss this year's exhibition which will feature themed beach huts, green houses, miniature green houses, and potting sheds.

  Teffany Osborne is an oil painter that creates landscape, still life and portrait work. Her work has a quiet resonance, with rugged and individualistic integrity. "All I can say is that what I look at is the source of information, there is always more there than I might expect and that I then try to paint it as succinctly and as truthfully as I can manage." Teffany was awarded both The Henriques and Boise scholarships and graduated from The Slade School of Art with first class honours.
