The piece Lucy is creating on Saturday is called Angel of the Allotment and will be placed in the story telling area of the allotment , surrounded by ground elder ,when complete. At the next stage it will be covered with coloured slips and grass seeds so by full summer will be a green fully organic Angel of the Allotment.
The allotment organisers and volunteers led by Linda and Joy have worked tirelessly with the volunteer team and residents to clear the allotment and it’s a thriving organic community allotment and an area of extreme beauty on the Bristol estate. The views are stunning . There are benches and it has been newly fenced. Linda says all are welcome to visit and there’s usually a cup of tea on the go! And certainly a very warm welcome.
Please watch this space for further details. The sculpture will be made outdoors weather permitting near the hall. It will be clearly sign posted.
